A is for.....

August 21 - the day we celebrate all the years of our wedded bliss. Not every year has been perfect, but we have made it eleven years!

To keep with tradition (our first date was to Disneyland) we decided to spend the evening at Downtown Disney eating, strolling, listening to street music and watching fireworks.

We started off at Rainforest Cafe with a yummy dinner and free appetizer......

It's a jungle in there! Wild animals, thunderstorms & yummy food!

We walked off our dinner wandering through.....

just having fun watching people, being glad we didn't have kids in a stroller, listening to the street musicians that are so talented, admiring all the fun artwork.....

it was about time for the fireworks so we found a good spot and enjoyed the fireworks and music before heading home!

to be continued.....
next year!

San Francisco

Thanks to Katie and her amazing waterpolo team we had a mini vacation this summer.

The 18 & under girls made it to the National Junor Olympics which was held at the Stanford University Aquatic Complex the end of July/beginning of August.

On day 3 the girls had only one game which left us with a free afternoon and evening. The team decided to take the train from our hotel and the girls spent their time exploring China Town. Mike and I turned it into a date night and wound up walking along the waterfront, through the boat docks, Pier 39 and Ghiradelli Square.

It was a great day, both at their waterpolo game and exploring San Francisco. I haven't been there since I was in Junior High!!!

date day....

Date Day 2009

A free day.
no kids
no work,
no places to be at any particular time.
We made it our day to do whatever we wanted. That turned out to be sleeping in late and heading to the coast for an afternoon of wandering, snacking and picture taking.
After hearing our good friends The Wegrowskis rave about Johns' Fish Market in Dana Point we had to go for lunch and order fish & chips. For a weekday it was pretty busy so we knew it would be delicious! We had some yummy fish with lemon, malt vinegar, tartar sauce and fries. Then we walked it all off wandering around the marina looking at all the boats.

Later we decided to head down PCH to San Clemente, climbed around the tide pools for a while and took lots of pictures. It was a beautiful day!

Coronado Island Love Birds....

Valentines day.....

Tulips are probably my favorite flowers. Next to Hydrangea' but they aren't really a flower - anyway, my sweet husband bought me the two most beautiful tulip plants. Yes, plants, not flowers. Flowers die. They have a short lifespan. Plants however can be planted, their flowers can be anticipated year after year. So when these two beauties are done blooming, out to my garden they will go. Four yellow bulbs and four pink. I think I will mix them in with some purple freesia I have. They will look amazing next year all together in the spring!

Thanks sweetie!

Happy Anniversary #10

Since one of our very first dates was a day at Disneyland we decided to celebrate our tenth anniversary with a trip down memory lane. We had a great day - somehow it wasn't too crowded and it wasn't one of those scorching hot days in Anaheim. We were able to get on all our favorite rides and a couple new ones too.....I loved the Winnie the Pooh ride with the huney and buzzing bees! It was extra sweet for me because I have lots of little "b" things around the house. One year my girls camp name was BuzyBee and Mike always calls me Mrs B. After a full day wandering around and riding rides (we also went over to CA adventure) we watched the fireworks on Main Street and took more pictures of ourselves being silly!
Happy Anniversary!!
