Small hokie neighborhood advantage: not having to leave your front porch for a parade!
Every year on the 4th of July our neighborhood homwowners association puts on a parade. Anyone can participate. Anyone that is, who wants to drive at 1 mph for about two hours throughout the neighborhood. Last year some little kid even rode his bike (you know he pestered his mom until she gave in) - his dad ran along side him the whole way! Bless his heart!!! Everyone washes their car, truck, boat, classic or not, and does it up with decorations. People look and vote, awards are passed out. Neighbors line up lawn chairs along the street and wave flags. After all the honking, hooting, hollering, candy & necklace throwing there is a bar-b-que down at the pond with music, hot dogs & watermelon.
Gotta love a small town!
Only in Wildomar!!!!
